starts at $25.00 per hour

SHIFT*

Monday – Friday, 10am – 6:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related science preferred.
  • 1 yr laboratory experience and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with LIS or MS Office
  • Aseptic technique and serial dilutions

JOB SUMMARY

Performs routine laboratory testing with the aid of laboratory equipments and follows standard operating policies and procedures. Specific tasks are clearly defined by work instructions for each operation in the job rotation. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s rights to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

  • Data entry and maintenance of sample logs and notebooks.
  • Sample preparation including weighing, ph adjustment and serial dilutions.
  • Equipment maintenance, calibration, temperature monitoring and quality control.
  • Analyze samples according to standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to HWP safety policies and good laboratory practices with focus on aseptic techniques.
  • Bacterial culture, colony count and media preparation.
  • Report verification and writing.
  • Assist in method development, validation and SOP preparation as needed.
  • Participate in training new staff.
  • Inventory of reagents and supplies.
  • Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
