Laboratory Technician

Health Wright Products is a privately held Contract Manufacturer of Nutritional Supplements that is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our expanding organization. After twenty-five years of significant growth we are still just at the beginning cycle of our potential and you would be joining a talented and committed team!

17-20/hour; DOE

Monday РFriday 

SWING 1PM – 9:30PM

DAY 8AM – 4:30PM

JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision, performs quality testing of raw materials. Specific tasks are clearly defined by work instructions for each operation in the job rotation.¬† Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Routine physical and chemical testing of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples
  • Analyze and accurately record analytical data to support product development and quality control
  • Assist in method development and SOP preparation as needed
  • Analyze and document analytical results in accordance with cGMP regulations
  • Utilize various analytical chemistry and wet chemical procedures
  • Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
  • Will be asked to train someone and/or participate in a task force to improve company procedures or operations.
  • Able to provide training and guidance as necessary per established procedures.
  • Support the Quality team as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.

Education/SKILL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA in food science, biology, chemistry or related science preferred
  • 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment with quality control experience
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requires a well-developed ability to read, write, and speak English in relation to topics of a complex or technical nature
  • Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred
  • A legal right to work in the United States
  • Experience with Soleris, FTIR and Petrifilm testing is highly desired
